I am a Malaysian-born writer and researcher based in “Vancouver,” the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh peoples. I use the pronouns they/them.
I graduated with an Honours BA in Sociology and Professional Writing & Communication from the University of Toronto in 2020. Currently, I’m an MA candidate in Sociology & Anthropology at Simon Fraser University, studying the creative and intellectual labour of Asian immigrant settlers.
My latest book, We Search For God on Mars, is a poetry chapbook available from Bottlecap Press as of 2021. My poetry has appeared in Plenitude Magazine, The Capilano Review, Plainsongs, Pinhole Poetry, Canthius, and filling Station, among others.
